Meet our founder, Jan-André, the talented DJ behind DJ JAM. With over 15 years of experience, he has mastered the art of creating magical moments. Originally from Durbanville, Jan-André now calls Paarl in the Western Cape home.

His DJing adventure kicked off in 2006 during high school, where he energized school dances at Paul Roos Gimnasium and Bloemhof Girls High School in Stellenbosch, along with parties at Stellenbosch University. He also honed his skills as an assistant DJ at weddings, corporate events, clubs, and year-end functions.

After finishing matric in 2010 and securing his driver’s license, Jan-André embraced the world of weddings and birthdays across the Western Cape—including Stellenbosch, Paarl, Franschhoek, Durbanville, Overberg, and the West Coast. He has even brought the beat to notable corporate events, such as the Kyk Net reality show wrap-up parties and the Cape Town International Boat Show at the V&A Waterfront. His passion for creating unforgettable memories has only grown with time.

In 2006, the launch of his first DJ company marked the beginning of a journey filled with unforgettable gatherings, from lively school dances to luxurious international weddings in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek.

When the COVID-19 pandemic changed everything, Jan-André seized the chance to refresh and rebrand under the name DJ JAM. This evolution reflects his commitment to providing high-quality services at an affordable price, ensuring that every event we touch is vibrant and full of value.
