Tanya Belly Dance

Belly dancer Tanaya captivates audiences with her enchanting performances in the art of Oriental Dance. Her thrilling shows, marked by genuine skill and authenticity, are sure to bring the ‘wow’ factor to any event.

From a young age, Tanaya traveled through the Middle East and North Africa, where the enchanting landscapes, rich aromas, and vibrant colors of these lands left a lasting impression, shaping her creative pursuits and passions.

With years of experience as a professional performer, Tanaya has also dedicated herself to studying under renowned figures in the belly dance world, both locally and internationally. Her training includes mentorship from artists such as Lindie Lila, Tenille Lindeque, Natasha Wells Van Der Merve, Ajsa Samia, Leyla Nahrawess, and Tamalyn Dallal. In 2009, she traveled to Bali to complete the final level of Hadia’s Middle Eastern dance teacher training and participate in an intensive dance course. Just a few years ago, she had the privilege of attending the prestigious Ahlan Wa Sahlan Oriental Dance Festival in Cairo, Egypt, hosted by the esteemed Madame Raqia Hassan. More recently, she has participated in workshops with Jillina and Heather Aued from the Belly Dance Superstars.

Tanaya is committed to her craft, continuously seeking opportunities to learn from international icons in the field as her schedule permits.

Her performances feature stirring music, dazzling costumes, and a variety of props, ensuring a unique and unforgettable entertainment experience.

Additionally, Tanaya was a cherished member of the Palace of the Winds in Cape Town and currently serves as the principal dancer for the Yalla Alimah Bellydance Company.
